Melanie was born in southern Ohio after her dad retired from the Air Force, returning to his hometown & family. Her family moved when she was an infant to Jacksonville, Florida for work. She’s the 5th of 6 kids.
Melanie graduated from Florida Community College at Jacksonville with an Associate of Art degree in Fine Art. She has had a career in Customer Service & Education. She enjoys helping people and has a strong work ethic.
Melanie and her husband Skip have lived in Arkansas since 2021. They are enjoying the hills & mountains of the Natural State, having come from the flat states of Florida & Kansas. They enjoy exploring the natural beauty of the area along with spending time with family and friends, cookouts, traveling the country, and camping.
She is a proud step-mother of 2 grown sons and 2 young step-grands. She has 13 nieces and nephews & 1 great niece. She comes from a large extended family and has 27 first cousins.
She enjoys working on, studying, & sharing her family trees. Starting when she was 17 years old, she has researched all branches of her family and now has started on her husband’s family. She has found ancestors back to the 17th century & a relative on the former Scottish throne.
Melanie is proud of her Christian faith & tries to live what she believes daily. She and her "Yankee" husband Skip live in Moreland in Pope Co., northeast of Russellville.
